Amsterdam International Water Week
At the beginning of November, adelphi travelled to the Netherlands to visit the Aquatech Amsterdam and the affiliated Amsterdam International Water Week on behalf of the DESSIN-consortium. The purpose of the visit was to get information about state-of-the-art innovations and research that matters to the DESSIN project. At the same time, adelphi engaged with important stakeholders, potential clients and partners/competitors of the DESSIN SMEs.
Headlined “Integrated solutions for a circular economy and resilient cities”, the Amsterdam International Water Week hosted various sessions of relevance to DESSIN. Among others, presentations were given on aquifer storage and recharge as well as real time control systems in Dutch and Chinese projects. adelphi had the opportunity to exhibit DESSIN-posters and enter discussions with some of the 1100 delegates.
With 850 exhibitors, the Aquatech Amsterdam offered much room for exploring the landscape of water technology actors. adelphi met DESSIN partners and also talked to competitors and possible clients. For example, there was a comprehensive discussion with representatives of a German communal water company, on how they deal with combined sewerage overflows, stormwater and flooding. We look forward to further promoting the DESSIN technologies and the project’s network at the IFAT 2015 in Munich.
