Update on DESSIN showcases

Athens / Greece: The Athens showcase acts as demo facility for water innovations. Aim is to have an information board as well as dissemination material including an animated movie showing the concept to potential target groups (authorities, tourist industry and general public).

Emscher / Germany: Proposed is to turn the Emscher case into a virtual showcase, with a website explaining challenges and solutions. Also planned are a few short movies including interviews and animations of the technologies applied in order to provide information for the general public as well as for experts.

Hoffselva / Norway: Preliminary ideas have been discussed during a previous DESSIN meeting and will be considered over the next few months. Given the remote location of the site, a physical showcase is not intended at this point.

Llobregat / Spain: The demo site at Llobregat is located at the facilities of the water company and is easily accessible for all visitors of the water company. For the specific DESSIN related activities an information board is being prepared at the moment.

Westland / Netherlands: The showcase has been developed furthermore during the summer, partly with external financing. More information can be found here. The Westland showcase includes information boards, opportunity for visits, a meeting room, an ASR Coastal banner and a movie. During summer some visits took place already (read here) but the official opening with high level representatives was on August 28. The showcase is specifically aimed for the demonstration of new technologies. Here is a Youtube-Video about the showcase.
