Cooperation between DESSIN partners intensify

The second meeting between the DESSIN project partners Emschergenossenschaft (EG), the University of Duisburg-Essen (UDE), and SEGNO Industry Automation GmbH took place in Essen on the 27th of June. Purpose of the meeting was to report on the progress of work and to clarify details about the implementation of the real time control system for sewer networks (ADESBA).

An overview on the ADESBA system with focus on the ADESBA planer tool was given by Christian Niclas and Vasco de Freitas from DESSIN partner SEGNO. The requirements that have to be met for the implementation of ADESBA were compared to actual combined sewer overflow (CSO) facilities in the Emscher area. Furthermore, results on the reduction potential of CSOs were presented. The next steps will be to elaborate on the analysis of potential and to verify feasibility.
