It is Scandinavia&#8217;s largest independent research organisation with about 2000 employees of whom around 70% are researchers. SINTEF performs projects primarily within the technological area, but also in natural sciences, medicine, and social sciences. SINTEF collaborates closely with the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Oslo.<\/p>\n<p>In DESSIN, SINTEF will participate with 4 departments, SINTEF <i>Water<\/i> <i>and Environment<\/i>, SINTEF <i>Communication Systems<\/i>, SINTEF<i> Applied<\/i> <i>Economics<\/i> and SINTEF <i>Energy<\/i>.
